There are lots of traditional industries in Japan that has been undervalued, I believe, for long time. Most of them mainly rely on manual work not on the latest machines or automation. There are craftsman with plenty of outstanding traditional skills here. I would like the world to know, be interested in, feel and become fond of the tradition. I strongly believe that they are worth being admired not only in Japan but worldwide. This passion led me to start Frutus Co., Ltd. and its online sales division “Japanese Chef’s Knife Imports”. Right after I decided to follow this passion, I left the previous job at bank and trained under Master Masui, the legendary craftsman of knives in Seki City. Seki City is located on the middle of Japan, famous for its highest quality and long history of knife making and it is the place where I came from.

Under my master, I have gained lots of technique, skill and knowledge about knife making. My lifetime goal is to have the world to know that there are lots of masterpieces of traditional craftsmanship in Japan and they are worth owning.
