Sharpening and fixing service (Free charge for the first time for each item)
Since we would like you to use our knives for long time with pleasure and love, we offer the free sharpening and fixing service once for each item. This service costs you only one way shipping cost from your place to ours. From the second time on, we will charge you for the service. Please feel free to contact us.
*In case the condition of the item is excessively bad, we are afraid that we might not be able to meet your request.
1Request
Before sending back the product, please send us an e-mail with your name, address and the inquiry details on it (for instance: "I want the sharpening services"). After we confirmed your request, we will reply to you with the specific explanation of how to return the product.
2Packing
Please wrap the blade carefully so it does not get damaged.
We recommend to wrap it with newspapers as shown in the picture below.
With the product, please enclose the note with your name and the return address on it.
3Dispatch
Ship the product to us.
4Completion
After the repair has finished, we will send back the product to your address.
Name Engraving service
Our name engraving service is provided by Mr.YAMADA, legendary skilled man who has the experience over half a century. You can choose the character type from Kanji(漢字), Hiragana(ひらがな), Katakana(カタカナ), Alphabet and Arabian figure. We strongly recommend you to chose Kanji(漢字) type since that is, we suppose, the best match with knives.
We offer the free service to translate your alphabetic name phonogramicly into Kanji(漢字), Hiragana(ひらがな) or Katakana(カタカナ).
For example, “Michael” can be translated into 魔威毛瑠 in Kanji(漢字) type, まいける in Hiragana(ひらがな) type, and マイケル in Katakana(カタカナ) type.
Another example, “Emma” can be translated into 絵魔 in Kanji(漢字) type, えま in Hiragana(ひらがな) type, and エマ in Katakana(カタカナ) type.
And if you want to engrave a word (only into Kanji type) or Short sentence we also offer the free translation service. This is not phonogramic translation but meaning.
For example, “Love” can be translated into 愛 in Kanji(漢字) type.
For Another instance, “ I love you” can be translated into 愛してる.
Please note that the maximum number of characters we can engrave in one knife is around 8 so in some cases we might not fully accept your request.

Kimio Yamada
Mr. Yamada started to take part in cutlery industry when he was 18 years old. Since then, he has been making knives over half a century with his untiring devotion. Although he is 76 years old now (to borrow his word, "still 76 years old"), his technique and skills which have been trained for many years have not faded at all. Now he is a highly skilled professional, yet he keeps learning every day. Our name engraving service is provided by this legendary skilled man, and so as our sharpening service.
When he sharpens a knife he uses 5 different whetstones, from rough ones to smooth ones, and finishes up with his original deburring tools.
